History:
Guyana is a generally chaotic country according to its history. The history starts off with the indigenous group, the Warrau Indians, which were conquered by the Arawaks and Caribs. Europeans soon took over and Africans were brought in to be used as slaves. The British also invaded and Guyana was declared as a British colony, but was shortly released from British ruling after overpowering their systems. Slavery was then forbidden, and Indians were used to take the place of the Africans. This started many racial problems, such as unfair treatment within the government in the country. It also led to many political issues regarding the candidates that were running. Soon people were only voting for their own race because they knew that the politician would treat them better than those who weren’t the same race. Although there were a few problems in the government, some of the political. Guyana has suffered and celebrated throughout history, but all of it has led up to the creation of the developing country that we now know as Guyana.
