Guyana is a small country on the northern edge of South America. Considering that it is only a tiny bit smaller than the state of Idaho, the population is not very large. The location is west of Suriname and east of Venezuela, and just north of Brazil. Many important rivers and mountain ranges are in the country. A few of the Guyanese rivers include the Essequibo and Bebice. There aren’t as mountains there as there are compared to other South american countries, however Guyana is home to the Kanaku and Pakaraima ranges. Loads of different plants and animals are found there. Recently, a spider the size of a puppy was found in one of their jungles. Monkeys, hummingbirds, water boas, and stingrays are a few of the animals commonly found in Guyana jungles and forests. Flash floods occur frequently which makes farming not too popular there due to extreme amounts of infertile soil.
